Practice 5 Addition and Subtraction of Length

We are happy that pupils of all races live happily together.
We celebrate this on 21 July every year.
What day is this? Match the letters to the numbers to find out.

(1) Add.

C L
11 m + 54 m
= 65 m
96 cm +123 cm
= 219 cm
I D
231 cm + 436 cm
= 667 cm
5 m + 5 m + 5 m
= 15 m
Y A
6 m + 9 m + 6 m
= 21 m
50 cm + 30 cm + 20 cm
= 100 cm

|2| Subtract.

R M
494 cm - 69 cm
= 425 cm
925 cm - 87 cm
= 838 cm
N H
376 m - 216 m
= 160 m
200 m - 96 m
= 104 m
O
I56 m -79 m
= 77 m

Now, match the letters to the numbers to find out.

R A C I A L
425 100  65 667 100 219
H A R M O N Y
104 100 425 838 77 160 21
